I believe it can be useful to every level of student and researcher - from beginning undergraduate students to the more experienced researchers. Here I list and discuss the things that I (both as a developer and a user) most admire about nanoHUB, the things that I consider its strongest points. Educational tools of nanoHUB: To me the most impressive and attractive side of nanoHUB is its rich collection of educational tools (learning modules, research talks, class lectures etc.) on many different topics. All the presentations are prepared using Breeze technique with video and audio streams, which makes it almost as lively and real as a live presentation. The quality and the depth of these lectures and talks are also very high, as those are given by the leading experts in their fields. Simulation tools of nanoHUB: There is a wide range of simulation tools available in nanoHUB. All these tools are developed using Rappture technique, which makes it very easy for the developer to implement the tool. I can vouch it from my personal experience. With my moderate computer knowledge I (with the help of the naoHUB staff) was able to develop my tools (MolCToy and Huckel I-V) for nanoHUB quite easily. Rappture also makes it very friendly and convenient for the user to use the tools by creating a graphical interactive interface. Many advanced and recent tools and models developed by the leading research groups all over the world are being made available through nanoHUB. Currently, we at McGill are developing a simulation tool for nanoHUB which is based on our ab-initio DFT-NEGF transport model. World wide access of nanoHUB: Another appealing and very important feature of nanoHUB is its world wide reach. Anybody anywhere in the world at any time can get access to all the resources of nanoHUB through the Internet completely free of cost. Any student/researcher in a remote place in the world may be able to listen to the lectures of the leading scientists (like Prof. Supriyo Datta or Prof. Mark Ratner) of the world through nanoHUB from his/her home. This is just quite amazing. This creates a tremendous prospect and potential for the growth and development of scientific education all over the world.
