Fermi statistics produces too low current

I found that PADRE produces very low current when I use Fermi statistics. About 5 times smaller compared to Boltzmann statistics (for low Vds). I checked with electron density. Electron density did not change much in Fermi vs Boltzmann and the potential profile and hence electric field does not change meaning velocity of electrons would be almost the same. This means current should not change much in Fermi vs Boltzmann. Could you provide any answer why this could happen?
