fermi level quantum dot lab

I am trying to compare the absorption spectra at room temp. of a GaAs quantum dot made in our lab with the computer simulation using “quantum dot lab” . One of the parameters to choose in the software is fermi energy. Now how do i select this parameter? Fermi energy depends on electron density. How do i know what is the electron density in my sample?
