Simulation time

Do not know why, but despite the 21 points simulation asked (default), the simulation actually calculates ~500 voltage points and the simulation last 15-30’. Did I miss something ?

    Hello,

    Can you tell me the simulation input. Is it the defaults..just hit simulate button?
    Simulation can sometimes calculate more voltage steps when it sees the need to for improving convergence (reducing voltage stepping).

      The simulation is almost default. I chose N-type doping of 1E14/cm3 and a (21 points) 2V sweep for 0.1 um Si slab. It seems that after a first point at 0.1 V there is a convergence problem and the simulation start to use smaller steps… Then, it s quite long to go up to 2V… and even bug sometimes. Maybe with more carriers ? I ll try more points like 40-50.
