What do the shapes of I-V curve of a solar cell mean?

Hello

I have been searching for a detailed answer to my question on the shapes of I-V curve of a solar cell mean. For example, what does it mean if it is linear, or if it is curved to the inside not to the outside, or curved near the top of the y-axis,etc. Also, what it means if the photovolatic effects happen on the second quadrant or forth ?
