Boundary conditions for the potential equation

I would like to know what are the boundary conditions for the potential equation. I assume the boundary condition at the gate is the prescribed V_g. Are the rest of the boundaries assigned Neumann b.c.? I believe this is so for the NanoMOS tool. But, in the paper by Jin Guo et al, IEEE TRANSACTIONS ON NANOTECHNOLOGY, VOL. 2, NO. 4, DECEMBER 2003, it appears to be a Dirichlet b.c. at the source and drain as well.

Thanks.

Hi Yes the other boundary condition are Neumann and at the Gate it is Dirchelet. The reason for the boundary condition in the paper to be Dirchelet is that it is a Schottky contact (Metal-CNT).Neumann is used when there is an ohmic contact while dirchelet is used for schottky contact.

    I hope this helps

    thanks Saumitra
