spatial resolution of the charge and potentials does not seem adequate
– it seems that the spatial resolution of some of the quantities like electron density etc is not very good.

Hello, BJT lab currenly displays 1D output plot along th depth for the 2D mesh. It would be upgraded to have a 2D view for electron density and potential,current density etc soon.

That is not really answering the question. The plots of electron density and band edge are not well resolved at the critical transition regions. The mesh needs to be refined there.
