effective mass
I was simulating a rectangular nanowire with the default parameters. It generated extremely small (0.0001) effective masses for band 1 valley 1. Please have a look. Also, we need to have the density of states calculated.

Could you please increase the number of k-points and then resimulate the structure. Keep Nk say 101 points and then simulate. This will help in giving a better initial guess for obtaining the effective mass at a given E and K. Rest we are fixing this issue to make the solution more robust.

Thanks for letting us know this. Presently there are some issues in the effective mass calculation and these results come because of the erraneous calculation procedure.
