effective mass
I was simulating a rectangular nanowire with the default parameters. It generated extremely small (0.0001) effective masses for band 1 valley 1. Please have a look.
Also, we need to have the density of states calculated.

+2 0 Login to vote Could you please increase the number of k-points and then resimulate the structure. Keep Nk say 101 points and then simulate. This will help in giving a better initial guess for obtaining the effective mass at a given E and K. Rest we are fixing this issue to make the solution more robust.
