How magnetic, electrical and optical properties changes from bulk to nano material?

In nano scale surface to volume ratio increases. Hence surface effects dominate which can be neglected in bulk materials.x- friction, stiction etcthis changes certain properties ex- a nano film of gold looks red in colour compared to yellow in bulk size
