Temperature Adjustment

Thank you for providing this great tool.

I’m trying to simulate properties of QDs in different temperatures. I wasn’t sure where in the simulation, the ‘Ambient Temperature’ parameter is effective. Is it also affecting the ‘Effective Mass’, or should I manually adjust the Effective Mass for every temperature (if effective mass is a function of temperature)?

Thank you again for your consideration.

Hi, hanks for using quantum dot lab. The ambient temperature value is used for calculating the Fermi function used in the optical absorption calculation. The effective mass value is assumed to be independent of this temperature. You would need to adjust the effective mass manually to simulate different temperatures.
