Why the unit of current is uA/um ?

Simulation result for Id vs. Vds shows unit of current as uA/um. Is this represents current per unit width or any thing else?

The current is usually normalized by the width of transistor. In a multi-gate, there could be many way to normalize it. For double gate finfet, it is normalized by 2 X fin height. For triple gate finfet, people use fin height X 2 + width of fin for normalization. For nanowire, people use perimeter of nanowire. If the nanowire diameter is scaled below 3 nm, it can be normalized by the diameter, because the device is volume inverted at the on-state.
