Based at the Department of Electrical Engineering, Dalhousie University, Canada. Candidate must be highly experienced in plasmonics, NSOM and non-linear optics demonstrated in a publication record. Will be involved with emerging project on modeling and experiments with 1.5 micron NSOM on nonlinear plasmonic effects in metal nanostructures and explore biophotonics applications. Modeling of near fields in nanostructures including non-linear phenomena (COMSOL accepted). Hands on experience with NSOM (Multiview preferred). Candidate must be prepared to spend some time a year at a partner University in Europe. Personal skills: highly motivated, well-organized individual capable to take ownership of a project.
