  • Biography

    Joe Ringgenberg received Master’s degrees in Chemistry and Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley. Previously involved primarily in the biotech industry, he has done work in chemical informatics as well as starting a consulting practice in the area of robotics and laboratory automation. Joe is also co-author of ‘Control Software for Mechanical Systems: Object-Oriented Design in a Real-Time World’, available from Prentice Hall. An unrepentant Java enthusiast for nearly a decade, Joe is now interested in scientific workflow concepts and the use of web services in research automation. He is currently the UC Berkeley site lead for the Network for Computational Nanotechnology (NCN@Berkeley).
