Biography
Charles Augustine received the Bachelors in Electronics from
BITS, Pilani, India in 2004 and the
PhD degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Purdue University in 2011. He is currently a Senior Research Scientist in the Circuit Research Lab (
CRL) at Intel Corporation in Hillsboro, OR. His primary research interests include low-power memory and logic using spin-torque devices, low-voltage
CMOS circuits and reliability issues associated with them. He received Best Paper in Session Award at
SRC Techcon in 2009, AMD Design Excellence Awardfrom Purdue in 2008, nominated for Best Paper Awardat International Symposium on Quality Electronic Design in 2009 and won Bronze medalfor academic excellence from
BITS, Pilani in 2004. He has held positions at Texas Instruments, ST Microelectronics, Philips Semiconductors, and Freescale Semiconductor, where he worked on
CMOS digital integrated circuits and memories, including spin-torque based memories. Charles has published more than 30 papers in refereed journals and conferences.
