    Mr. Charles Taylor Patrick Gillespie is currently pursuing a LL.M. in Intellectual Property at Santa Clara University School of Law and focusing on Nanotechnology and the Law. He graduated from the University of Sydney School of Law in 2007 with honours and specializing in International Commercial Transactions. He was accepted as an officer of the court at the Supreme Court of New South Wales, Australia and holds a Current Practicing Certificate for the State of New South Wales. He also holds a Masters in Business Administration from the Walton School at the University of Arkansas and a Bachelors Degree in Economics from the University of Tulsa. He is the Director of International Marketing and Business Development of Nanotech Impex India Pvt. Ltd. Coinciding with his work at Nanotech Impex India Pvt. Ltd., he practices as an intellectual property lawyer and he has had the opportunity to see the growing number of patents on products incorporating Nanotechnology. After thorough research he has become an advocate of the technology, especially as it pertains to the areas of affordable renewable energy, air and water filtration and health care. He is also interested in Nanotechnology Policy and understands that if the technology is to progress at the rate which it is capable, proper regulations and laws must address environmental, health and safety concerns and oversight must grow in tandem with scientific discovery. He is also currently writing two chapters for a comprehensive academic text book on Nanotechnology. His chapters will focus on Nanotechnology and the Law and Commercializing Nanotechnology., a resource for nanoscience and nanotechnology, is supported by the National Science Foundation and other funding agencies.
