• Biography

  Jim Fonseca received his master’s and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Ohio University and his bachelor’s degree from Virginia Tech in Computer Engineering. After three years as a postdoctoral researcher and visiting faculty member at Rush University, he joined the Nanoelectronic Modeling group in 2011 and is specializing in high performance computing and development of software for scientists. His has published in the areas of biomolecular modeling and semiconductor device physics. He employs molecular dynamics, Monte Carlo, and artificial intelligence algorithms in his work.
