Hi, I am Pankaj Kumar Pal, received my B.Tech. degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Gurukul Kangri University, in 2008, M.Tech. degree in VLSI design from NIT-Hamirpur in 2010 and, the Ph.D. degree in Microelectronics and VLSI from IIT-Roorkee in 2016 under the joint supervision of Prof. S. Dasgupta and Prof. B. K. Kaushik, ECE Dept., IIT Roorkee. I have received Director’s Medal from NIT-Hamirpur, for branch topper in M.Tech. in year 2010.
After completing my Ph.D., I joined the Department of Electronics Engineering, National Institute of Technology Uttarakhand as a Teaching Associate in Jan. 2016, where later I joined as an Assistant Professor (Grade-II) from May 2016 and currently serving there. During my services in the Institute, I have handled various key responsibilities of the Institute including Head, ECE Deptt. (For 2 years) and Coordinator IPR cell etc.
Currently, I am supervising 04 Ph.D. out of that 02 have completed their work and going to submit their thesis within a month. Another one (01) is at the advance stage of his work. I am a Senior member of IEEE, Life Member of ISTE & IETE and Fellow of IETE. I am also involved in reviewing activities of many international reffered journals belonging to various publication houses such IEEE, IET, Elsevier etc.
My current research interests include novel MOS Based devices, FinFET parasitic extraction, semiconductor device modeling, and low-power SRAM and Advanced memory design.
