Jeffrey C. Grossman is a Professor of computational materials science in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at MIT. His research focuses on the application and development of cutting-edge classical and quantum simulation tools to understand, predict, and design novel materials with applications to: energy conversion and storage, novel sensing approaches, growth mechanisms and self-assembly, and thermal transport. Professor Grossman received his Ph.D. in theoretical physics from the University of Illinois, performed postdoctoral work at U.C. Berkeley.
