  • Biography

Christopher Nixon is currently an undergraduate student at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign majoring in Sociocultural Anthropology, with a minor in Informatics. He was formerly a Computer Science Major, but changed in order to study the human aspect of computing and information communication technology (ICT) in more detail.

Chris is interested in how ICTs can enhance learning and education, especially across distances. His work for NCN@Illinois includes recording lectures and posting them to nanohub.org, as well as organizing an annual summer school on Nano-Biophotonics. NCN@Illinois is also working to make information on nanotechnology more accessible to people of all ages and skill levels.
