Collaboration in nanomaterial research key in balancing discovery with safety

A report from the National Academy of Sciences discussing safety and environmental and health issues related to engineered nanomaterials (ENMs) is highlighted in a recent APS News article. Panel members note that collaboration among agencies and scientists is a key factor in removing obstacles to ENM research. Dr. Krishna Madhavan, Purdue University, points out the benefits of nanoHUB.org in providing a collaborative environment for the sharing of data, simulation tools, and other resources related to nanotechnology.

nanoHUB.org, a resource for nanoscience and nanotechnology, is supported by the National Science Foundation and other funding agencies.
