Description

An optical ring filter is commonly used in opto-electronic circuits because of its compact size. It is mainly used to filter out unwanted optical signals or select certain frequency range signals in the wavelength division multiplexing system which transmits a wide range of optical signals at the same time. This model is intended for use in designing filter transmission curves with physical optical parameters on Model and Algorithm Prototyping Platform (MAPP).

Notes

Current version of the model releases the model of an optical filter with a single ring, but it is straightforward to simulate with multiple rings by slightly revising the circuit netlist since the basic modules of a single ring are given.

Current version only supports the optical parameters as inputs.
