This tool automates the calculations of base motion and fluid borne loading for acoustically excited cantilevers in liquid environments.

This is to accompany the journal paper D. Kiracofe and A. Raman. “Quantitative force and dissipation measurements in liquids using piezo-excited atomic force microscopy: a unifying theory” Nanotechnology. 22 (2011) 485502.

This software automates the calculations in section 3.2 of the paper. Specifically, it solves equations (10) and (11) numerically to find the values of the base motion Y and fluid borne loading A_fluid, given the experimentally values from a calibration test. Please refer to the paper for a description of all of the parameters, the correct procedure to acquire them, and the assumptions made in the derivation.
