Bio

Seth Lichter Seth Lichter is Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Northwestern University. He started his academic career studying water waves. As the waves he was studying got smaller and smaller, stochastic terms were needed to describe them. Using his new knowledge of statistical mechanics, he began looking at molecular-scale waves at solid-liquid interfaces. Currently, he is applying traditional and statistical mechanical methods to study how proteins fold.
