Overall, it was an insightful animation; it is sort of throws the beginner into the deepend which can be good. One little technical thing, while viewing it the first time, I got a call in my office. So I was unable to pause it. Likewise, if presenting or sharing this, one might want to pause this to discussion of clarification. Pause/play buttons are good for animations. Sadly, flash doesn’t offer these built in (like a video, etc).
This animated debate is simultaneously too simple and too complex. There is little background information provided, yet the characters debate facts that students may not understand (such as the concept of thermal noise).
