| Abstract | Polymer brushes find applications in many areas, including for example biomedical devices and nanotechnology. A polymer brush is, in simple terms, a nano metric realization of a common brush in which linear polymer molecules are attached by one end to a surface. Monodisperse polymer brushes are those where all the polymers have the same molecular weight, and they can be studied using the tool nBrush. Bimodal brushes have polymers of two different molecular weight attached to the surface. This tool, which is an extension of nBrush, allows the study of bimodal polymer brushes on planar, cylindrical and spherical surfaces. |
