Answer your own questions
When you are learning to use a tool, sometimes you post questions and then figure out the answer on your own. It would be nice to be able to post the answer, in case one forgets later, and also to help other beginner users. (No t-shirt needed :)
At this point it is not possible to post answers to your own questions.

I can relate to the user who posted this wish. Since I am a verbal learner, I often articulate questions on the way to answering them myself.

There is another use mode as well: Supriyo Datta did at some point post the questions he had received by email and then answered them as a public forum to post answers. This is a good way of doing it. Maybe we allow it and just do not post points for this?

It does seem a better coding design to rather than rule out an Answerer to rule out earning points for an answer by the question poser. We should welcome answers from as many sources as possible.
If a poser answers his/her own question we might want to point them towards the opportunity to make a more substantial contribution by taking their Q&A material and formatting it as a Supporting Document for the given resource.
