make input file editable during the program run
If the binary runs for a very long time (hours and longer) one might want to change some parameters (such as damping parameters) on the fly, i.e. without restarting the job again.
I have a binary that frequently reads in the input file for exactly this purpose.
It would be great to have rappture handle that.

this is a critical elemnt for computational scientist to steer and possibly rstart their simulations. This goes along with a wish where one may want to see intermediate results, while the simulation is still running.
