Absorbtion File In Cigs Solar Cell for Adept 2
Please help me about the absorbtion file for simulating CIGS solar cell.Is absorbtion file is necessary for all layer?. How can i get absorbtion file values for the following design.
n-ZnO
i-ZnO
n-CdS
P-CIGS

Dear Shamim,
If you wish to simulate the solar cell under light condition, the absorption file is needed. You need to look through the literature to find the appropriate absorption coefficient to use for each layer. A good starting point may be Dr. Markus Gleockler’s PhD thesis.

The solar cell, a cornerstone of renewable energy, converts sunlight into electricity, driving the quest for sustainable power sources. Essential in this pursuit are technological advancements, exemplified by the impressive capabilities of a 200 watt solar panel. These panels, with increased efficiency and output, mark a significant stride in harnessing solar energy. As solar cells continue to evolve, their impact on powering homes, businesses, and beyond becomes increasingly profound, fostering a cleaner and greener energy landscape for a brighter future.
