Our research team interests are in the development and optimization of scanning probe microscopy (SPM) techniques in fluids for biological and medical applications. Specifically we are investigating Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) and Magnetic Force Microscopy (MFM) techniques to enable the areas of study in spinal cord research, cell-to-cell communications and nanomedical applications. We are also participating in the integration of SPM with electrophysiology techniques and varying environmental conditions to enhance research in cell biology. Our team is involved in nanotechnology education at all levels including K-12, undergraduate and graduate programs.
