Founded in 2002, the Network for Computational Nanotechnology (NCN) has pursued its mission to advance nanoscience and nanotechnology through nanoHUB.org. nanoHUB has become a successful, scientific end-to-end cloud computing environment, hosting thousands of resources for research, collaboration, teaching, learning, and publishing.
The National Science Foundation has recently awarded continuing funding for the Network for Computational Nanotechnology to address challenges and serve the growing nanotechnology community. NCN consists of a cyber node responsible for the support and development of the nanoHUB infrastructure, as well as two content nodes with research and educational directives in the areas of nano-manufacturing (nanoMFG) and nano-bio (Engineered nanoBIO).
