I have a Mechanical Engineering background (BSME, University of Portland, 2002). I briefly worked as a mechanical engineer before joining the US Navy in 2005. I worked as a Navy pilot for 12 years. In addition to mission expertise, I gained substantial project management expertise, and had the opportunity to lead several high profile and large budget projects with stakeholders from allied nations, primarily Australia, Japan, and South Korea. I completed my MSE degree in Biomedical Engineering from Purdue University in 2013. My primary research interest was applying computational fluid dynamics to flow in biological systems. I am now seeking to transition from my military career to an engineering career in the medical device industry in the San Francisco Bay Area. I am currently taking advantage of the phenomenal resources available on NanoHUB to broaden my exposure to bionanotechnology and bioMEMs
