I am Souvik Mukherjee B.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering [2008 - 2012], RCCIIT, West Bengal University of Technology, India, born on October 13, 1989 from West Bengal, India.
Interests: My general research interest lies in theoretical & experimental study of semiconductor devices, heterostructures, optoelectronics, photovoltaics, solar cell devices, lasers along with computer aided design, device & circuit simulation, analog & digital electronics circuit analysis & design.
Device Modeling & Simulation experience: My undergraduate work concerns - computation of transmission coefficient in double quantum well triple barrier heterostructure devices having varied geometries and attributes by appropriate numerical methods in MATLAB, - development of planar, nanowire based solar cell device in Sentaurus TCAD & hence determination of optical generation rate using the FDTD method.
Select Development/ Programming efficiency: Developed a tool in my 2nd year of undergraduate studies for: designing and reducing digital electronic circuits into minimized forms through 'C' programming, worked at Indian Statistical Institute for a period of about 6 months concerning the development of an expert system using Fuzzy logic rule base for prediction purpose in 'C' language.
Current Objective: To pursue higher studies and do dedicated, independent and qualitative research work - PhD (preferred)/ MS (with thesis option) in the related area.
