    Tobias Kramer is a Heisenberg fellow of the German Research Foundation at the Institute of Physics, Humboldt University Berlin, Germany.

    He received his PhD from TU Munich (Germany) and started to use GPUs for scientific computing in 2008 while being a research associate with Harvard University. His research areas cover quantum mechanical effects in open and interacting nanosystems. For public outreach and for demonstrating the benefits of GPU computing from smartphones up to GPU clusters he maintains a research blog at http://www.quantumdynamics.de
