Intel utilizes modeling tools to help develop novel transistor

Intel recently released a novel transistor, 10 nm smaller than the current state-of-the-art transistor. This work was complemented by the ability to model such devices using code first developed at Texas Instruments and now part of a continued development effort led by Dr. Gerhard Klimeck, professor and Director, Network for Computational Nanotechnology, Purdue University, and Klimeck's NEMO/OMEN research group.
