Abstract

In 2010, an explosion on the DeepWater Horizon offshore drilling rig led to one the the largest oil spills in the United States. While efforts to seal the well moved forward, disagreements arose around the quantity of petroleum that had been released into the surrounding environment.

This application allows users to view videos from the DeepWater Horizon well, mark particles, and roughly estimate their velocity.
