Abstract
The National Science Foundation's Quantum Information for Quantum Chemistry Center (NSF's QIQC) presents several talks organized by Bill Bayley, QIQC Outreach Coordinator, with the goal of conveying the basics of their field of interest to the lay public. This is done in hopes to both inspire interest in future scientists, and to inform the public of the basic language of the field and how this field will soon be exploited to better their lives. Center Director Sabre Kais gives a brief introduction to the mission of the QIQC; followed by Jonathan Dowling giving examples of how this technology can be used to benefit the public in the near future; concluding with Ross Hoehn giving a brief introduction to the fundamental topics and quantities used in the field in a approachable fashion.
