S4: Stanford Stratified Structure Solver
S4 is a frequency domain code to solve layered periodic structures. Internally, it uses Rigorous Coupled Wave Analysis (RCWA; also called the Fourier Modal Method (FMM)) and the S-matrix algorithm.
