Abstract
In this tool, a behavior of carbon nanotube (CNT) mechanical relay is simulated. The relay consists of a CNT on conducting substrate and two electrodes on the left/right of a trench. The electrostatic force between the CNT and the electrode will pull the CNT to stick on the wall of the trench, and the electrostatic force on another wall will pull the CNT out of one wall to another. This tool will estimate the pull-in and pull-back voltages by consider the variation of CNT diameter and length.
