Take the nanoHUB Carbon Nanotube Dance Challenge!

Do you have what it takes to win a prize pack?

Here's one that the nanoHUB team made last year. Think you can you do better?

To celebrate National Nanotechnology Day on October 9, 2020, nanoHUB is hosting a Carbon Nanotube Dance Challenge, and you could score some great nanoHUB swag.

Get together with some friends and learn about the different chiralities of carbon nanotubes. Then, put these shapes together with some music to create a CNT dance.

Each arm position - armchair, zig-zag, or chiral - represents a different pattern of atoms in a carbon nanotube, or CNT.

Make a video or take a photo of you and your friends demonstrating these shapes, post it on social media, and tag nanoHUB so that we can see your work. We'll randomly select one participant or group to receive a prize pack, and we'll be sharing everyone's work on our social media channels.

Remember, the more people you have in your "carbon nanotube", the more fun it will be. You might even try to get your entire class to participate!

Can't get together in person because of social distancing?
Try the Carbon Nanotube Dance in your video conferencing application! (Zoom, Webex, etc.) Have all your friends join and create a recording of the gallery layout featuring everyone on a single screen. We're looking for creativity, style, and fun!
