min/max setting for field values in glyphviewer.
I'm moving this from a ticket
https://nanohub.org/support/ticket/305980
to a wish.
"Hi,
I'm not quite sure the best way to go about sending out this request so I'm starting via the ticket system...
The following wish was technically classified "Granted": https://nanohub.org/wishlist/general/1/wish/674
However, in truth the general feature was only done partially. Specifically, the Intensity Scale bar can only be changed for the Isosurface Plots. In addition, I really need it available for the Glyph Viewer (specifically Vector) plots.
To be honest, when we were discussing the feature in person it was clear that we were only making Isosurface plots at the time and that was what we crucially needed the feature for. But, right now (over 1 year later) it is pretty crucial to have it for Glyph Plots too."

Just reposting a descriptive comment from ticket #305980 for clarity of the issue:
I simply want to change the numbers that are the maximum and minimum of what the colormap's limits are being defined on. The maximum and minimum values that are being used for the colorbar which you can see in the Rappture 3D plot. This is currently available for isosurface plots (I just click on that number in the Rappture 3D viewer and I can enter in a new number).
This is something that has to be done at the viewer stage since user's will want to enter different ranges to focus on different areas of the plot with more/less definition. i.e. right now if my plot has mostly points in the value of 9.123-10.5 range and there is a single point at 1, then the whole view is being skewed by that point with the 1 value giving a range of 1-10.5. I would then want to redefine the range from 1-10.5 to 9-10 for example.
