Akira Matsudaira was a senior student of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Purdue University. He is graduated at May 2006 with BS degree of Computer Engineering, Physics, and Mathematics. He continued in graduate study in the field of solid state physics, quantum mechanics, and the modeling and simulation of nanoelectronic devices at University of Illinois Urbana Champaign.
