    Ramin Banan Sadeghian received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees both in electronic engineering from Sharif University of Technology (Tehran, 1998) and K.N. Toosi University of Technology (Tehran, 2002), respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from Concordia University (Montreal, 2007). During 1997–2000 he was with the Faragir-Fan Rayaneh Inc. as an Electronic Engineer, specializing in industrial automation and biomedical instrumentation. In 2000, he joined the R&D center of Iran Khodro Industrial Group where he worked on automotive electronics and vehicle security systems and contributed to the design of Samand (codename X7). His research interests include nanoscale electron devices, microsensors, reverse electrodialysis for small scale energy generation, and Monte Carlo simulation of thermocooling effects., a resource for nanoscience and nanotechnology, is supported by the National Science Foundation and other funding agencies.
