| Abstract | A workspace is a Linux desktop in your browser. It provides access to NCN's Rappture toolkit, along with computational resources available on the NCN, Open Science Grid, and TeraGrid networks. You can use these resources to do research. Or, you can use workspaces as a development area for new tools. You can upload code, compile it, test it, and debug it. Once your code is working properly in a workspace, it is ready to be deployed as a tool on nanoHUB. Contributors, people that "share" or "upload" code, can get workspace access as part of the contribution process. More information about contributing code on nanoHUB.org can be found here .
You can use normal Linux tools to transfer data into and out of your workspace. For example, NOTE: This facility is currently restricted to NCN PIs, students, staff, collaborators, and partners. If you have problems launching a workspace, you may not be authorized to use workspaces. If you feel you should be authorized, please contact us to request this feature. Please include the name of the NCN PI or partnership supporting your request. |
