Abstract

A practical approach to Quantum information and computation (QIC) calls not only for fully quantum entities with fully quantum dynamics, i.e complex fully QED, but also for quantum light preparation and classical light with quantum like dynamics; although still classical. Therefore, we then call for quantum states of light, structured states of light and classical structures whose light propagation dynamics resembles quantum dynamics  and therein its outputs. The preparation of light states in Hilbert spaces have become one of the most fructiferous QIC spaces and photonics lattices are one of the most illustrative for the ease of introducing and controlling changes at the waveguides that find a paragon in quantum systems. Discreteness is so much at the core of our quantum imagination that, at these structures, we easily identify expected quantum behavior at the propagation.  Therefore, we may very well keep them in our QIC tools stock
