    Dr. Alexander Kildishev is a Principal Research Scientist at the Birck Nanotechnology Center,

    School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Purdue University. He leads the development of simulation strategies, methods, and software tools for applied electromagnetics and multiphysics simulations in the area of nanoplasmonic devices and optical metamaterials, MRI safety and magnetic silencing. Before joining Purdue, he was working as the Head of Laboratory at the Magnetism Division of the National Academy of Sciences in the Ukraine. Currently, his research interests are in the modeling of nanophotonics devices, optical metamaterials and transformation optics. Dr. Kildishev’s publications include include 5 book chapters, more than 90 publications in peer reviewed journals, with above 2700 citations; more than 85 invited seminar talks and conferences presentations. He is a co-inventor of 10 issued and pending patents, and a co-author of 6 software online simulation tools freely available at nanoHUB.org. He is a Senior member of IEEE (IEEE Photonics and Magnetic Societies), and a member of SIAM, OSA, SPIE, ACES, and COMPUMAG.
