Deploy a visualization gallery
We should have a page of nanoHUB visualizations that consist of still images as well as animations. The thumbnails should lead to the resource pages that contain the description and the full image.

The downside is that this resource is pretty much lost to the ether. I had to work at finding the resource.

I never see the benefit of such galleries *except* for a developer that asks himself what is possible to do. In the latter case I would rather update the rappture documentation.

It could have a roll in promoting nanoHUB. Most big NSF funded projects have galleries on their website with the story behind the image. I think the intent with the gallery we put together was to provide eye candy to the tool user. Hopefully they will see something they recognize in the way of a graph, etc. and will want to learn about the tool behind the image. The individual images in this gallery are all on wikipedia somewhere and each “image” resource links to the tool and to the pages on wikipedia that make use of the image.
