  The Support Center for Microsystems Education identifies microsystems technician competencies, creates and disseminates educational materials and models, and provides professional development activities and cultivates our community of practice to develop a skilled microsystems workforce ready for research and development and industry manufacturing environments.  By supporting the growth and enrichment of technician education programs, the SCME will improve the competitive position of established and emerging economic clusters.
