Charles Reinke, Ph.D. is a Senior Member of Technical Staff in the Applied Photonic Microsystems department at Sandia National Laboratories. Dr. Reinke has a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, where he studied computational electrodynamics and nonlinear optical effects in photonic crystals. While at Sandia, he served as the principal investigator of the Coherent Chip-scale Transduction via Optically Induced Mach-waves project under the DARPA MesoDynamic Architectures program, and is involved with a number of research projects including nano-scale photonics and phononics, thermoelectrics, and optomechanics. He has published over 30 publications and is named on 4 patents.
