  Eric Masanet is Deputy Leader of the International Energy Studies Group at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL) at the University of California - Berkeley.
  
  Eric holds a joint research appointment in the Institute of Transportation Studies at the University of California, Berkeley. He also serves as Program Manager for the UC Berkeley Engineering and Business for Sustainability (EBS) Certificate Program and is Associate Editor of the journal Resources, Conservation, and Recycling.
  
  Prior to joining LBNL, Eric was a post-doctoral researcher in the Consortium on Green Design and Manufacturing at UC Berkeley, where he performed research in the areas of product design for recycling and environmental supply chain management for the electronics industry. He has several years of industrial experience in the areas of green design and product development. He has also consulted in these areas for clients in the hi-tech industries.
  
  He holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from UC Berkeley, with a specialization in environmentally-conscious design and manufacturing.
