  Héctor Corte León was born in Asturias, Spain, in 1985. He received the BSci degree in Physics from the University of Oviedo, Spain, in 2010 and the MSci degree fron UNED, Spain, in 2012.
  He joined NPL in 2012 through a European Commission Programme, the Leonardo da Vinci fellowship; where he successfully completed a 6 months placement. During this time, Hector worked with the Quantum Detection Group on Domain Wall detection by Anisotropic Magnetoresistance effect.

  Héctor is currently working for NPL and in Autumn 2013 will start a PhD at Royal Holloway, University of London in collaboration with NPL, researching Domain Wall detection on Permalloy nanostructures.
